Another Gulf airline launches flights to the U.S.

After nearly 30 years without flights to North America, the national airline of Bahrain, Gulf Air, announced the launch of a direct flight route to New York (JFK).

The announcement was made during the official visit of Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in Washington, D.C.

The new route, commencing on October 1, 2025, will offer three weekly flights between Bahrain’s airport and JFK, operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.

Initially, Gulf Air will operate its flights from Terminal 1 at JFK Airport, with a planned move to the new and advanced New Terminal One in June 2026.
