SriLankan Airlines has announced that, starting August 2, 2026, it will boost connectivity between Sri Lanka and Australia by expanding its operations between Colombo and Melbourne.
Mlebourne, Australia. Photo: ShutterstockThe national flag carrier, with its base at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, will add three services on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, bringing the total number of weekly flights between the two destinations to 10.
Bookings are already open on the company website, by phone, or via travel agents.
SriLankan is a member of the oneworld alliance and operates an all-Airbus fleet to over 100 destinations spread across Europe, Asia, as well as Australia and the Middle East. The company, considered a major carrier for the Maldives and southern India, has recently partnered with Saudi Arabia’s low-cost flynas carrier.
