Following the recent debut of a new luxury property by the Accor Group, IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of another landmark project in the capital: the InterContinental Jerusalem, scheduled to open in April 2026.

Designed by renowned interior designer Dan Kwan of Wilson Associates, the hotel will offer 237 elegant rooms and suites with breathtaking views of the Old City. Guests will enjoy a 350-guest banquet hall, seven adjacent meeting rooms, a rooftop restaurant with panoramic city views, a signature chef’s restaurant, a world-class spa, an indoor pool, and a fully equipped health and wellness center.

Blending international standards of luxury with Jerusalem’s unique character, InterContinental Jerusalem is set to become a premier destination for Israeli and international travelers, business leaders, diplomatic delegations, and discerning groups from around the world.

Eyal Goldberger has been appointed General Manager of the upcoming InterContinental Jerusalem, bringing with him more than two decades of experience in developing and managing luxury hotels worldwide. His impressive portfolio includes leadership roles at Hyatt Centric Las Olas, Marriott Brickell Miami, Hyatt Centric South Beach, and The David Citadel in Jerusalem. This will be the fourth hotel he has opened, and the first in Israel.

“It is a tremendous honor to return home and lead a project that will stand as a symbol of luxury, sophistication, and world-class service in the heart of Jerusalem,” said Goldberger.

“We are creating a destination that bridges a glorious past with modern comfort, exactly as Jerusalem deserves.”

Joining him is Galit Heller Halfon, appointed Vice President of Marketing and Sales, who brings over 30 years of expertise in the hospitality industry, particularly in the luxury segment. She previously spearheaded the launch of The Jaffa Hotel within the global Marriott network in Tel Aviv-Jaffa and led marketing and sales for the Alrov Mamilla Hotel in Jerusalem for nearly a decade.

“This is an exciting milestone for me, both professionally and personally,” Heller Halfon shared. “It is a rare opportunity to contribute to a project destined to become an icon of international hospitality in Jerusalem”.
