Wizz Air Expands Again: The company will launch a new base at Warsaw Modlin Airport this December.
The low-cost airline Wizz Air, which will resume its flights to Israel on August 8, announced that it will establish a new operational base at Warsaw Modlin Airport starting from December. This will be the company’s sixth base in Poland, reinforcing Wizz Air’s status as one of the most dominant low-cost carriers in the country.
As part of the initiative, the company will station two new Airbus A321neo aircraft at the airport and launch 11 new direct routes to major cities across Europe.
The expectation is for more than half a million seats per year from the new base, which will increase air traffic in the region and provide Polish travelers with more smart and affordable flight options.

Among the destinations the airline will operate flights to from the new base are Barcelona, Athens, Bergen, Malta, Sofia, Paphos, Chisinau, and more.
